About Kite & Koala

The Story

Kite & Koala began with a simple idea: big feelings are easier to handle when children have the right words and a friendly guide beside them. That guide is Pip, our koala, who shows up on every worksheet, card, and mini-guide we make.

Every printable is designed to feel calm and welcoming, so a young child can sit down and begin without feeling overwhelmed. We keep the language simple, the colours soft, and the steps small.

What started as a handful of worksheets is now a small library covering the things families actually get stuck on: bedtime worries, anger that arrives faster than words, test nerves, sibling jealousy, and the quiet ache of comparing yourself to everybody else.

How we make our printables

Every pack is written by a mental health professional with a PhD and built on published CBT research. We draw on child development and social-emotional learning, then shape each activity into something a child actually enjoys doing.

Before anything reaches the shop, every step is checked against published cognitive-behavioral research and shaped for what a real Tuesday evening can actually carry. If a step needs more calm than a hard evening has, it does not stay in the pack.

What is inside every pack

  • An instant PDF download — nothing is shipped, and it is yours the moment you buy.
  • Two paper sizes — A4 and US Letter, so it prints properly wherever you are.
  • Print at home, as often as you like — unlimited copies for your own family or a single classroom.
  • No prep — print it, and you are ready to start.

Meet Pip

Pip is a koala who is not especially brave, and that is the point. Pip gets nervous before new things, loses track of big feelings, and works through them one small step at a time — alongside your child rather than ahead of them. Children who will not talk about their own worry will often happily explain Pip’s.

Who it is for

Our printables are made for children roughly aged 5 to 12 — the younger packs for ages 5 to 8, and a separate range written for tweens aged 9 to 12 — and for the parents, carers, teachers, and school counselors who support them. Whether you are working through worries, naming emotions, or simply building everyday confidence, there is something here for you.

A note: our printables are educational tools for everyday coping. They are not a substitute for therapy or professional care. If you are worried about your child, please reach out to a licensed mental health professional in your area.
